Actually, the correct nickname for an Adolf is Adi. As in Adi Dassler, one of the founders of Adidas - yup, the brand name is a shortening of his name and not an acronym for "All Day I Dream About Soccer (or Sex)" as the high school myth goes. It must be true, because I read it on the internet.
