On the Care of Iguanas:
So now you've decided you would like your very own iguana anthropological researcher to come and live with you and study you. Well, in all seriousness, keeping an iguana is a lot of work and there's a lot of very specific information you need to be able to take good care of your new friend.
The best information site I've found is by Melissa Kaplan, and before you even get an iguana, you should check out her excellent book Iguanas For Dummies (or as Zamo would call it, Iguanas for Humans). She gives loads of important information here, and it's wise to read it before committing yourself, just to be sure you're ready, willing, and able to provide all that an iguana needs to thrive. I was fortunate enough to have a shorter article of hers back when I first got Leguizamo, and I constantly referred to her site and eventually the book once published. It's absolutely essential.
There are other good books and web resources for green iguana care, too, but I think it's pretty much all covered by the links and book recommendations Melissa gives, so that's you one-stop reference.
